"Secret Santas" Doubling Donations to The Salvation Army of Henry County for Three Days

All Red Kettle donations in will be matched up to $5,000 December 12-14

The Salvation Army of Henry County is excited to announce that an anonymous gift from long-time supporters will be used to match donations dropped into Red Kettles on December 12, 13, and 14 up to $5,000. This means that every dollar will turn into two and a $10 bill will have the impact of a $20 bill. The "Secret Santas" making this match possible are hoping that shoppers will match their generosity and give at least $5,000 over these these three busy days.

With just 12 days left of bell ringing at Red Kettles, this gift comes at a critical time. Funds raised during this annual fundraising campaign make it possible to provide vital programs and services throughout the following year. Emergency assistance, the community food program, and youth programs in the community center are all supported by the Red Kettles.

"It's been a challenging year, but gifts like this give me hope that we can meet our goal and fully fund our 2025 programs," said Beth Stamper of The Salvation Army Henry County Corps. "We've been so blessed by supporters and volunteers this year. I know that inflation is making things tough for everyone, so it's extra special when those who can give a little more, do. Every little gift goes toward making our community stronger and helping people who just need a hand up."

Last year, The Salvation Army provided over 60,000 meals to Henry County residents facing food insecurity. The Christmas assistance program gave out over 13,000 gifts, including both toys and clothing, to children whose families were facing hardships. These and many other ministries are made possible each year through generous donations to Red Kettles.

Shoppers looking for a Red Kettle this week will find bell ringers at Walmart, Harvest Market, Kroger, and Walgreens. Volunteer bell ringers are still needed to man every kettle the full three days of the match. Anyone interested in volunteering to ring a bell this week is invited to visit RegisterToRing.com and find a location, date, and time that works for their schedule.

Every donation given to The Salvation Army through the annual Red Kettle Campaign provides help and hope to those in need, and all gifts stay right here in the community where it is given.
