Horizon Bank Hosting Kettles - and Doubling Donations!
The Salvation Army is excited to announce that select Horizon Bank locations in Marion, Johnson, and Tippecanoe counties will host special Red Kettles in their lobbies as part of a $3,000 match challenge on Friday, December 17. For one day only Horizon Bank customers and visitors will have a chance to double the impact of their donations to their local Salvation Army.
Horizon Bank, which has over 80 locations across Indiana and Michigan, has offered the match to encourage their customers to support the important efforts of The Salvation Army as they help their neighbors in need. This has been a challenging year for many Hoosier households, making the match especially appreciated in each service area.
"We are proud to support The Salvation Army's kettle drive again this year," said Joe Wallace, Community Leader with Horizon Bank. "With this drive and their other initiates, they are doing an excellent job serving the most vulnerable populations in our local communities."
Six Horizon Bank branches are participating in this $3,000 match challenge and will have Red Kettles in their lobbies during normal business hours on Friday:
507 Three Notch Lane, Bargersville
420 N. Morton Street, Franklin
151 Marlin Drive, Greenwood
942 US 31, Greenwood
302 N. Alabama Street, Indianapolis
1980 Northwestern Avenue, West Lafayette
The funds raised will support The Salvation Army Lafayette Corps Community Center, The Salvation Army Red Shield Center in Greenwood, and The Salvation Army's Ruth Lilly Women and Children's Center in downtown Indianapolis. Vital services at these facilities include housing and support for homeless and abused women, food pantries and feeding programs, emergency financial assistance, youth camps and sports, and so much more.
Every donation given to The Salvation Army through the annual Red Kettle Campaign provides help and hope to those in need, and all gifts stay right here in Indiana.
