Join us as we visit seven Grand Rapids public parks for a free sack lunch and a time of conversation.
We’ll be taking the message of The Salvation Army on the road here in Kent County when we visit seven of our Grand Rapids public parks on Saturday, May 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Utilizing trucks from the Adult Rehabilitation Center and Emergency Disaster Services as ‘billboards’ for ‘A Community Conversation’ - a community outreach project that includes a free sack lunch (for the first 200 neighbors who show up) and a time of conversation about The Salvation Army’s programs and services.
In fact, if you or someone you know has questions about enrolling in our senior program, signing your kids up for summer camp opportunities or becoming a member of the Kroc Center, stop-by one our seven park sites and we’ll do our best to help.
For more information on how you can get involved with ‘A Community Conversation’ (including serving as a volunteer), please contact: Constance Huizenga at Constance_Huizenga@usc.salvationarmy.org
