"Hungry" is no way to spend childhood

Every day The Salvation Army helps cure hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need.

Nearly one-fifth of Howard County Households are food Insecure.

The Salvation Army is here to help ease that burden with fresh produce, frozen, and shelf-stable food.

How we help cure hunger

No family should have to go without food and we want to be able to provide for that basic need.

Food Pantry
If your family is in need of food we have a food pantry that you are able to use. We have some fantastic donors that help make sure that our food pantry is stocked with fresh produce, frozen food, and stuff for your pantry. The donations that we received not only provide food for our pantry but also other organizations to help more people.

The Food Pantry is open on Thursday and Friday.

Our fantastic donors include: Sam's Club, Meijer, and Aldi

Other organizations that receive donations: The Salvation Army in Logansport, IN, The Salvation Army in Peru, IN, Kokomo Rescue Mission, Jackson Street Commons, New Life Church in Kokomo, Hillsdale United Methodist Church, The Salvation Army in Marion, IN, and The Salvation Army in Huntington, IN.
