2nd Annual ‘Stories of Salvation’ celebrates Community & The Salvation Army
LA CROSSE – For the second year in a row: The Salvation Army returns with their ‘Stories of Salvation’ event to celebrate and share the programs and services provided in La Crosse County.
‘Stories of Salvation’ will be held on Tuesday, August 25th from 11:00am – 12:00pm. New this year, this event will be broadcasted live on The Salvation Army’s Facebook page, in response to the limitations on gatherings caused by COVID-19.
“In lieu of charging admission to this event, we’re making this viewable at no cost to the public,” says Development Director Christina Knudsen of The Salvation Army of La Crosse County, “Because this event is free, we are asking that community members consider a donation of $25, which will benefit The Salvation Army of La Crosse’s Emergency Shelter program where more than 600 men, women, and children are served every year.”
The event will feature Salvation Army program recipients who will share their story of struggles with addiction and homelessness as well as how they triumphed, along with other stories from staff members and supporters of The Salvation Army.
Generous sponsors of the event include Logistics Health, Inc., Fowler & Hammer, and Great Lakes Cheese, with additional support provided by WKBT News 8 and the UW-La Crosse School of Business. For more information on the event or to donate, visit www.SAlacrosse.org.
