J.F. Brennan Company Announces Match to Help Push Red Kettle Campaign

LA CROSSE – J.F. Brennan Company (Brennan) supports the Red Kettle Campaign and is raising awareness over this year’s silent campaign.

On Saturday, December 5th, Brennan will match up to $10,000 at all kettles throughout La Crosse County. The Red Kettle Campaign donations account for approximately 1/3 of The Salvation Army’s annual budget. Funds support all programs including the Emergency Shelter, Meal Program, Community Health & Wellness Program, Feed the Kids, and Angel Giving Tree.

This year’s campaign is a silent campaign due to restrictions and COVID-19 related concerns. There are less volunteer bell ringers, so the community is not hearing bells ringing or seeing people at the kettles. Many kettles are standing alone. Through the silence, the need is still there in our community for help. The need is greater than ever this year with an increase of more than 155%.

To encourage support, Brennan is starting their campaign efforts on Monday, November 30th with a dollar for dollar matching Virtual Red Kettle. The week of virtual giving allows donors many ways to give in our changing and more virtual fundraising world. Brennan has always supported The Salvation Army but is stepping up to offer a large match to engage community offerings.

The Salvation Army will stand with Brennan to meet the mission of The Salvation Army by providing hope and serving those in need without discrimination. On Saturday, December 5th, The Salvation Army will announce where they are in meeting their goal.
