Indiana Business Advisors Kettle Match this Weekend
Red Kettles are popping up all across Tippecanoe County, and The Salvation Army's annual Christmas fundraising campaign will be getting a welcome boost over one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year.
November 26-27 cash donations dropped into Red Kettles across the county will be doubled thanks to a generous $5,000 matching gift from Indiana Business Advisors. This match will be used to encourage holiday shoppers to give a little more and make a big impact in the lives of their neighbors in need.
Len and Sue Fulkerson of Indiana Business Advisors Lafayette shared their reason for supporting the charity through a Red Kettle match:
"The Lafayette community has a special place in our heart. Indiana Business Advisors is thrilled to offer this Red Kettle match so our neighbors can double their impact on those who need it most in Tippecanoe County."
The Salvation Army has worked tirelessly to meet the needs of Tippecanoe County residents throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent months have seen a rise in need for financial assistance with rent and mortgage payments. The funds raised by Red Kettles will help to ensure that The Salvation Army can continue to meet these increased needs while providing regular programming and services to the community.
"We appreciate those who can go that extra mile to provide kettle matches for the Lafayette community," said Lt. Aaron Johnson of The Salvation Army Lafayette Corps. "The need is great, but the love and generosity within our community is greater."
Shoppers looking for a Red Kettle on November 26 and 27 will find bell ringers at Walmart, Sam's Club, Big Lots, JCPenney, Hobby Lobby, Needlers Fresh Market, Rural King, Kohl’s, Macy’s and JCPenney. Anyone interested in volunteering to ring a bell this holiday season is invited to visit RegisterToRing.com and find a location, date, and time that works for their schedule.
The Tippecanoe County Salvation Army has a goal of raising $115,000 this year through the iconic Red Kettles located throughout Lafayette and West Lafayette. Every donation given to The Salvation Army through the annual Red Kettle Campaign provides help and hope to those in need, and all gifts stay right here in the community where it is given.
