When Jesus talks about “real rest,” He means more than a Sunday afternoon nap, a long weekend away from work or even a week-long vacation. Jesus’ idea of rest goes far beyond a physical or mental respite and into the realm of deep soul replenishment. This kind of replenishment and peace comes only when we completely surrender to Him, trusting that no matter what challenges await us, we are safe and secure in His love.
