Kids growing up in low-income families are seven times more likely to drop out of school than those from families with higher incomes.
Our free Blast Zone After-school Program and character building classes give kids from low-income families the opportunity to receive homework help, learn from positive role models and develop friendships with peers.
We provide a safe space, positive adult mentors and programs that build the character, enrich the minds and feed the spirits of young children and teens alike.
Blast Zone After-school Program
Every weekday from 3:30-5:30 p.m., approximately 100 children in kindergarten through fourth grade benefit from academic support, Bible study, fun and enriching activities, and encouragement.
Our character-building programs offer the opportunity for kids and teens to develop strong communication and leadership skills, grow their minds, and explore God's Word, all while having fun and connecting with their peers. We offer the following groups for girls and boys:
Mondays from 5-6:30 p.m., following dinner
Wednesdays from 5-6:30 p.m., following dinner
