About This Event

Proceeds from the golf outing will benefit The Salvation Army's youth programs, including camp, after-school programs and music education for disadvantaged children and teens in the Chicagoland area, as well as shelter for families in extreme crisis.

In 2018, The Salvation Army’s child care program provided 12,788 care days to more than 335 children. Of those children served, 85 percent completed the program either up-to-date or on schedule in terms of key health and mental wellness milestones according to State of Illinois standards.

More than 58,000 students in the Chicago area were provided musical instruction aligned with Common Core State Standards. The Salvation Army worked together with teachers and principals at four Chicago Public Schools to ensure students had access to arts and cultural programs. In 2018, the Evangeline Booth Lodge provided emergency lodging and supportive services to 674 men, women and children. Combining all shelter programs, each night over 1,200 people are accommodated under a Chicagoland Salvation Army roof.

By recognizing that every young person has the potential to lead in some manner, The Salvation Army helps to prepare young people to navigate successfully through society regardless of their life situations. Through leadership programs, children and teens can develop their abilities, boost confidence, develop friendships, and other skills for their enrichment.

The Salvation Army gratefully acknowledges the following sponsors for supporting the 16th Annual “Hope Fore Kids” Golf Classic. Thank you for making a difference!
