Mainstreet REALTORS Ring Bells and Give Back to the Communities They Serve

Dec 18, 2018

This guest blog has been provided by Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®, a professional membership association located in Downers Grove, Illinois. It serves nearly 18,000 REALTORS® in DuPage, Lake, and Western and Southern Suburban Cook County.

This holiday season, Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® is thrilled to partner with the Salvation Army through the Red Kettle Campaign to give back to the 200+ municipalities our REALTORS® live and work in each and every day.

Every day, Mainstreet members help people seeking to join our Northern Illinois communities find new homes. But while everyone deserves a place to call home, far too many people in the Chicagoland area have had their homes devastated by natural disasters such as tornadoes or floods in recent years. We’re proud to “ring the bell” to support our neighbors in need and continue to strengthen the communities we love.

2018 is the first year that Mainstreet REALTORS® have partnered with the Salvation Army, and the number of REALTORS® who have signed up to participate has been overwhelming. Together, MORe members have contributed more than 130 hours to support members of our communities.

Mainstreet REALTORS® are strong supporters of the communities they live, work and volunteer in. We’re so grateful to the Salvation Army for its continued work on behalf of the people of Northern Illinois, and for the chance to help make a difference. We appreciate all of those who have participated in the Red Kettle Campaign, and wish all of our members and area homeowners a happy and healthy new year!
