Join the Challenge - Starting December 2nd

Get ready to spread holiday cheer with The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit’s “12 Days of Ringing” Challenge! This season, visit Salvation Army Red Kettle locations, snap a selfie or video, and share it on Instagram @Salmich1, TikTok @salvation.army.mi, X @salmich, or Facebook @sagreatlakesdivision to join the fun.

Here’s how it works:

1. Visit any red kettle location in the Metro Detroit area (Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties) 
2. Take a selfie by the iconic Red Kettle.
3. Share your selfie on social media, tagging #12DaysOfRinging.

Each day will feature a different Red Kettle location where you can win door prizes like gift cards, movie tickets, event passes, and special holiday experiences. And don’t miss our special prize on Monday, December 2—a pair of tickets to the Detroit Lions game on Thursday, December 5!

• No purchase or donation is required to enter or win.
• Open to Michigan residents, 18+ years.
• Contest runs from Monday, December 2 to Saturday, December 7, and Monday, December 9 to Saturday, December 13. 
• Each new location visited and shared counts as an entry. Winners will be selected randomly and notified within 48 hours of the final entry date.
• Officers, employees, and immediate family members of The Salvation Army or its partners are not eligible to win.
