The Salvation Army brightens the holiday season for those in need through:

Red Kettles
These iconic red kettles signal the start of the holiday season. Donations collected in these buckets support the services in your neighborhood. Bell ringers are both seasonal employees and volunteers. Learn more about Bell Ringing or Register to Ring now. From November 3 through December 23, join Love's Army by volunteering at one of the Red Kettles on selected dates!

Donate from the comfort of your home and your donation will help us raise much-needed funds for our 2023 Love Has An Army Red Kettle Campaign.

Your donations stay in the community in which they are received to help us serve those most in need.

Angel Tree

The Salvation Army Angel Tree program allows donors to purchase gifts and clothes for families in need, to make their holidays brighter. Angel Trees can be found at area WalMart & Sam's Club locations, the Battlefield Mall, and more supporting businesses.

Angel Trees will be out at our local partners by November 18, 2023.

Holiday Meals
The Salvation Army provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for community members who would like one. We will host a homemade lunch at our facility on Thanksgiving Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Plans for Christmas Day will be forthcoming.

We also provide a gift certificate for a local grocery chain to registered families upon checkout at the Toy Shop on December 19, 2023. This gift certificate ensures families can purchase the ingredients for the Christmas meal they prefer. Toy Shop registration information is below.

Gifts of the Season - Toy Shop and Christmas Food Assistance - Sign-Ups
We are gearing up for our Gifts of the Season of 2023:

Volunteers Needed! December 19, 2023 - 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

We are inviting families with children aged 16 yrs. and younger, those with disabilities, and senior citizens to sign up for our Gifts of the Season Program.

We are expecting hundreds of households to sign up for Christmas Assistance this year!

The following items need to be brought with you when you apply:

1. Valid photo ID for all household members 18 and over.
2. Social Security Cards for all household members.
3. Proof of address with applicant’s name such as a current lease or monthly bill.
4. Your SSDI or SSI award letter, if applicable.

The Salvation Army will be assisting:

• Families with children aged 16 and under
• Households with seniors aged 60 and up
• Households with disabled individuals

Serving those who reside in Christian and Greene Counties.

Sign Up Times Are As Follows

Dates: November 6-10 and November 13-17
Times: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

Additionally, we will have one evening option available on:

Monday, November 13^th from 5:00 pm—7:00 pm

Distribution for families will take place, on December 19^th, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Distribution for individuals with disabilities and seniors will take place on Wednesday, December 12^th from 9:00 a.m. -  12:00 p.m.

Appointment times are given at sign-up. Assistance is available to Greene & Christian County residents.

The Salvation Army partners with a local clearing house to prevent duplication of services. Any household attempting to receive duplicate services will be disqualified from receiving services.
