Westlake Ace Hardware recently hosted a fan drive to benefit The Salvation Army and those affected by the recent heat.
Springfield, MO area customers generously donated $2,391.55 to purchase 138 new box fans to help their fellow citizens in need! During the fan drive, Westlake customers were asked to donate by rounding up their purchases at the register. Nationwide, $100,000 was donated for fans!
“The Fan Drive speaks directly to who we are as a company. We are truly humbled and grateful for our partnership with The Salvation Army and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the lives of our friends, customers, and neighbors,” said Andy Schmitt, vice president and COO of Westlake Ace Hardware.
"Today's donation of fans could not have come at a better time. The heat we are experiencing is dangerous and we want to be able to help folks stay cool.
