2022 Red Kettle Campaign Goal Achieved - Love Has An Army
Match Updates and Additional Challenge Met!
Three Companies Play a Crucial Role To Meet the Goal
The Salvation Army serving Greene and Christian Counties has met their 2022 Red Kettle Campaign goal of $1,023,000!
Many individuals, groups and businesses made this year’s Red Kettle Campaign successful, whether it was through hosting the Red Kettles at their place of business, ringing the bell or making financial contributions they all contributed to a great season of giving.
Our Bell Ringers rang for over 7,000 hours this season, which was crucial to the effort! We are so thankful to everyone who donated their time to help us to help others!
We would also like to say a special thank you both Pinegar Advantage and Bass Pro Shops for hosting the Match Challenges in December. In addition, Baker Creek Heirloom Seed company provided donations both through an online sale they hosted in December and through an additional match offer which was made to Bass Pro Shops at the end of the season.
The Pinegar Advantage Match Day was held on December 3rd. Their three dealerships located in Springfield, Republic and Branson agreed to generously donate $100 for every $20 bill dropped into a Red Kettle located in Greene and Christian counties up to $15,000 (which was a $5,000 increase from the previous year), another anonymous donor added $5,000 to make this a $20,000 Match Day. Donors start calling us about this each season as they look forward to their $20 bill turning into $100. The Pinegar team, supporting their community helped make this campaign a success. This campaign creates great excitement and the Pinegar Advantage Day proved to be even more successful once again this year. The Salvation Army is pleased to announce that we exceeded the $20,000 Match Day!
Through the generous support of our community and the loyal customers of Bass Pro Shops, The Salvation Army is also pleased to announce that the three red kettles located at Bass Pro Shops exceeded the $25,000 Match Challenge from Monday, Dec. 19th through Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24th. This too was a $5,000 increase from the previous year. This second Match Event of the season also created great excitement in the Ozarks as donors eagerly answered the challenge as they came out to Bass Pro Shops to see their donations doubled!
The Salvation Army’s 2022 Red Kettle goal of $1,023,000 was ultimately met with the contribution of an additional gift from Bass Pro Shops and a matching grant from Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company, who offered to match Bass Pro Shops up to $25,000.
“The support of Pinegar Advantage, Bass Pro Shops and Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company exemplifies the community spirit of the Ozarks, and we greatly appreciate their generosity in increasing the match to meet the ever-increasing needs of the people we serve,” Major Jon Augenstein of the Springfield, Missouri Corps said. “Without partners and friends like these we would not be able move forward in providing for others, thank you for your ongoing support and for blessing us again this year!”
