I grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin and went to Brookfield East High School. I really didn’t get much exposure to the Milwaukee-area until I went to college at UW-Milwaukee. After college, I lived in Denver and various parts of Wisconsin, but recently had an awesome opportunity that led me back home!
After living in different cities and states since high school, I’ve found that despite where I move, there is something about Milwaukee that continues to draw me back. I thought that I always wanted to live in a big city, but once I moved to them, I realized that Milwaukee has a charm that isn’t comparable to most. We are a city of strong pride, great food, and even better people. Milwaukee is up-and-coming and I love to see the constant growth and development, both business and people!
Oh boy — this is a tough one. My heart has a special place for Belair, not sure if it’s the trio-salsa and chips, the margaritas or the $2 taco Tuesdays AND Thursdays or all of the above.
I am an Italian-Irish, so naturally, I love both Italia Fest and Irish Fest!
Upon moving back to Milwaukee, I was in search of getting my feet wet in an organization where I could play an active role in our community. I know several existing members who speak proudly of Echelon and the positive impact it’s had on them — I’m ready to be a part of it!
Our city is historically one of the top segregated cities in the nation, along with high rates of homelessness and crime. We are the generation of diversity and thrive on making a difference. Through purpose, intention, and innovative thinking, we can build the necessary trust within our community to bridge the divides.
