GivingTuesday is December 3, 2019 and The Salvation Army needs your help to reach their goal of $25,000. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This GivingTuesday we are encouraging you to think about the daily luxuries we take for granted. For 1 in 5 people in America they aren’t sure if they will have enough to eat today. For the thousands of homeless people in Kansas City, the winter weather is more than a nuisance. The single mom dreads how to explain to her children that Santa isn’t coming this year.
When you give to The Salvation Army’s GivingTuesday campaign you are putting food on plates, roofs over heads, and toys under the tree. That is because your GivingTuesday donation goes to work immediately in your community. The Salvation Army is already at work and now you are a part of “Doing The Most Good.”
After you make your donation you can help us even further by sharing on Facebook about your gift and challenging your friends to do the same. You can simply click the button below to be directed to your page.
