Bed & Bread Club

There is tremendous concern for homeless and hungry people throughout our country, and rightly so. While many debate how to best care for those in need, few solutions have been found that can be sustained.

The Salvation Army has developed comprehensive programs like the Bed & Bread Club®, to help homeless and hungry men, women and children. Here in Monroe County, we provide nearly 11,000 nights of shelter each year in our family shelter to people who are facing difficult circumstances, serve more than 12,000 meals each year to hungry individuals and families through our feeding programs, assist with securing birth certificates and state IDs, and so much more.

When a person comes in for food or shelter, we make sure they understand that we are prepared to help them make the changes that will remedy their problems. We have the resources to provide shelter, food, clothing, counseling and medical care.
