Salvation Army Red Kettle Donations to be Matched at Super One Stores
DULUTH, Minn. – Donations made to The Salvation Army’s Red Kettles at 13 area Super One stores will be matched Tuesday, December 17th through Monday, December 23rd, up to $50,000 thanks to a generous challenge from Miner’s Incorporated, owner of Super One Foods. Speaking on behalf of Miner’s Inc., Patrick Miner said, “We appreciate the caring and compassionate work of The Salvation Army. We feel blessed that we are able to support their efforts in providing physical and spiritual help to those who truly need a helping hand.”
The Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle campaign is their most important fundraising effort of the year. Captain Bryan Ellison, commander of the Duluth Salvation Army said, “Our work is most visible at Christmastime, but the Red Kettle funds enable us to meet basic needs of people all through the year. Last year the Duluth Salvation Army had the privilege of helping over 15,000 people. Our kettle goal this year is $250,000. This is a big goal. It’s a stretch, so we are especially grateful for this partnership with Super One and with so many caring friends who join us in this effort.”
To double the impact of your gift, make your donation at a Salvation Army Red Kettle at any Super One Foods store in Duluth, Superior, Virginia, Hibbing, Cloquet, Grand Rapids, or Two Harbors Starting Tuesday, Dec. 17th through Monday Dec. 23rd. Kettle donations are received in Duluth from 10AM-8PM Monday through Saturday.
Ellison said, “Our heartfelt thanks to each one who rings a bell or makes a donation. And special thanks to Super One Foods; not only for this wonderful match opportunity, but also for their donations of food at Christmas and other times of the year. Together we can do this!”
