Register now for holiday volunteer opportunities

Sep 30, 2019

Registration has officially opened for holiday volunteer opportunities in the Twin Cities.

Make the most of the 2019 Christmas season by helping The Salvation Army #FightForGood. Your hands-on support will provide toys and coats for children, food for hungry families, and shelter for people in desperate need. Register now.

Here are some examples of how your volunteer efforts will help:

Bell ringing: Just two hours at a kettle raises an average of $60. That’s enough money to provide food, shelter and a hot shower for two people at The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center.

Coat distributions: Help parents pick out donated coats for their children. Your support will keep kids warm all winter long.

Toy Shop: Register families for our toy distributions or help parents pick out toys for their children. Your help will ensure that thousands of children receive a present on Christmas morning.

Sign up to volunteer now and put your love into action. In doing so, you’ll join the likes of Joe Mauer and thousands of other compassionate volunteers who want to make a difference in their community.

“The Salvation Army is a year-round organization that does so many great things,” said Mauer, 2019 Christmas Chair of the Twin Cities Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army Northern Division pledges to do the most good with your gifts of time and money, with 81 cents of every dollar going directly to services. Join us by volunteering or making a donation to support your local community.
