Say hi to The Salvation Army at Vikings home game vs. Bears on Monday Night Football
Hey Vikings fans! Are you going to the Monday Night Football home game vs. the Chicago Bears on Dec. 16? If so, stop by and say hello to The Salvation Army!
The Salvation Army will be at the game giving away thousands of free medallions outside U.S. Bank Stadium. Dozens of volunteers will hand out the medallions all around the stadium before the game starts.
The Salvation Army will also serve free hot chocolate and refreshments near the stadium plaza, where several of our mobile kitchens will be parked.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to donate. Red Kettles will be positioned outside the stadium, with many local firefighters ringing the bells.
“It’s unbelievable when The Salvation Army comes out to support us,” said local firefighter Dave Eisinger from the West Suburban Fire District. Last year, he rang bells before a Vikings game as a way of giving back for all the times The Salvation Army has served food to his crew while they’ve battled blazes.
“A hot dog and hot chocolate tastes pretty good when it’s freezing-cold outside,” Eisinger added. “One time, The Salvation Army even brought a warming tent.”

“We encourage everyone at the game to get involved with The Salvation Army this holiday season and throughout the coming year,” said Lt. Col. Randall Polsley, leader of The Salvation Army Northern Division.
