Support this year's ‘Coats For Kids’ campaign and help keep children warm this winter
The Salvation Army in the Twin Cities has launched its annual Coats For Kids campaign to collect coats and winterwear for local children in need. Due to the impact of inflation on rising prices for food, gas, rent, and utilities, the cost of warm winter clothing can be an additional stress for families struggling to make ends meet.
The public can help by donating new or gently used coats for children and youth of all ages – as well as winter accessories like hats, mittens, gloves, boots, and snow pants.
The ‘Coats for Kids’ drive runs now through Saturday, Oct. 11.
“Too often, parents are forced to choose between paying bills, buying groceries, or keeping their children warm," said Lt. Colonel Randall Polsley, Salvation Army Northern Division commander. "Our annual coat drive helps lift that burden, making sure kids have the protection they need to face the cold months ahead.”
Coats and other winterwear can be dropped off during business hours at the following Salvation Army locations and Livea Weight Control Centers:

The Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids campaign has been helping to keep children warm for over 30 years.
