Finding a place to live is the first step to reentering a community. Our correctional services team can help.
In some areas of Minnesota and North Dakota, we can refer individuals directly to Salvation Army housing facilities. Where none are available, we collaborate with other transitional housing programs to secure housing for men and women upon their release from prison.
In Hennepin County (Minneapolis, Minn.), the county office uses a coordinated entry system to connect individuals with housing. We can register individuals in the system to receive a placement. One of the locations where individuals may be placed is our Harbor Light Center, 1010 Currie Ave., which offers an emergency overnight shelter and temporary supportive housing.
