Adults in need make up the biggest group we serve Image

Adults in need make up the biggest group we serve

Through programs designed to address the mind, body and soul, we meet the needs of adults of all ages.

We Love and Support People of All Ages

We partner with adults by connecting them with tools and resources to help them through any life struggle. Our services - such as our prescription assistance, gas vouchers, counseling and more - give people a whole army of support so they know they're not alone.

Economic insecurity affects adults daily

An estimated four out of five adults struggle with near-poverty, joblessness, or dependence on welfare. While much of social service work highlights young people of color who are in need, many of the faces we do not see are often adults and seniors in suburban or rural areas dubbed the “invisible poor,” where 60 percent of the poor are white. Regardless of who you are or where you are from, we're here to help.

How we help partner with adults

The Adult Day Center at The Salvation Army Lakewood Temple, 2080 Woodlynn Ave., is a loving place for adults who need specialized support to maintain independent living. The Adult Day Center program is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services to serve guests who are 18 or older. We are open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Attendance varies based on guest needs and center availability.
