We provide spiritual service and guidance to anyone God brings across our path.
When you think of The Salvation Army, you might picture red kettles or our thrift store. Yet most people don’t realize we are a Christian church. We meet people’s physical needs and heal souls through our spiritual ministry – by sharing the love of Jesus Christ and the promise of salvation. We want to help you explore what it means to have a personal relationship with God.
Whether church is already part of your life or you are experiencing faith for the first time, you are always welcome at our weekly worship service Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. We also offer spiritual ministries during the week.
We have a casual “come as you are” dress code. We are located one block East of the Maplewood Mall and have plenty of parking in our attached lot.

Start your Sunday mornings with us! Come learn about God and His love for us through prayer, singing and Biblical messages. We begin the morning with doughnuts and coffee at 9 a.m., followed by Sunday school classes at 9:30 a.m. During this time, we divide up by age group to study God’s word. Then all ages come back together for our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30 a.m. The brass band and praise team lead us in worship, followed by a message that is thought provoking and relevant for your life today. Nursery is provided for children ages 5 and under.
Our women’s ministry meets every Tuesday to address issues that affect women and their families. Join us at 9:30 a.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month for Bible study. We also meet at 1:30 p.m. for a fellowship event on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. To get involved, contact Captain Erin Metzler at 651-779-9177 ext. 23.
We come together to encourage each other in spiritual growth, fellowship with other Christian women, promote a purposeful Christian life and minister to each others’ needs. Our women’s ministry group, originally called Ladies Home League, is part of an international organization that was founded over 100 years ago and is one of the largest Christian women’s organizations in the world today.
Music is a great way to express your praise to God, so we invite you to join in on one of our six music groups. If you are still learning to play an instrument, Beginner Band meets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays for rehearsal. For those who are more experienced, Senior Band (not just for seniors) rehearses at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and plays every Sunday morning during the worship service. Our praise team also plays during the weekly worship service - using guitars, piano, drums, and vocals to lead worship. For those who just love to sing, we have three different choirs separated by age. Cherubs (age 4 - Kindergarten) and Singing Company (1st Grade - 12th Grade) rehearse at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Songsters (ages 14+) rehearses at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and participates in the worship service twice a month. No matter which group you join, singing or playing an instrument at church is a great way to use your talents to bring glory to God.
Individual piano lessons are also available.
Forever 50s is a weekly ministry for anyone over the age of 50. We meet every Thursday at 1:00 p.m. for fellowship, educational opportunities, Bible study and entertainment. Some weeks we even travel together to local shows and events in place of our regular meeting. To find out what is coming up, contact us at 651-779-9177.
Teens (ages 13-17) can be involved in ongoing ministries and activity nights throughout the year. Our primary teen ministry takes place during Character Building on Tuesday nights at 5:30 p.m. with other, semi-regular opportunities throughout the year. Transportation is available
Young Adults (ages 18-35) gather the first Friday of each month for different events. Events regularly include food and fellowship, with the occasional opportunity for worship and Bible study. Fellowship activities include games, movies, and outings. If a young adult is married to someone who just happens to fall outside of the age range for this group, their spouse is still welcome to join in on all of the fun! Transportation is available.
