Celebrities ringing bells Dec. 11 at Southdale Mall, Minneapolis
Roseville, Minn. – The stars will be out all day at Southdale Mall in Edina on Friday, Dec. 11 to help raise money for The Salvation Army. More than 50 local celebrities will be bell ringing inside the mall, in the central court, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
The event has attracted notable people from the Twin Cities for more than 15 years. This year’s celebrities include everyone from local news anchors and reporters, to radio personalities, and even Vikings cheerleaders.
“This is a fun and lively day of bell ringing that we look forward to every year,” said Major Jeff Strickler, Twin Cities commander. “We appreciate the support of our local celebrities. It’s a fun way for people in the community to connect with them and support Salvation Army kettles.”
Celebrities are being asked to wear red, and you can join in the fun, too. Just post a picture of yourself wearing red on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #RedOut and tag @salarmynorth. One lucky winner will be chosen at random to win a pair of tickets to see the Vikings take on the Bears on Dec. 20.
