Don’t forget – Register for free school supplies
Minot, ND – Registration for free back to school supplies is off to a slow start at The Salvation Army in Minot, and the deadline is just days away.
“We thought we would have a lot more families signed up by now,” said Captain Randy Stahl, Minot Salvation Army administrator.
Registration for free school supplies ends on Monday, Aug. 8. Parents must register ahead of time to attend the event on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
Free haircuts, eye exams and dental checkups will also be available for children. Optometrists, dentists and hairstylists from the community are all volunteering their time to ensure kids are more than ready to head back to school.
The event will take place at the Minot Armory Gym, 420 3rd Ave. SW. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 1 – 6 p.m. To register, call the Minot Salvation Army at 701-838-8925.
“It’s not something you’ll want to miss. We will ensure your child not only has the school supplies to start the year off on the right foot, but is looking good and feeling good too,” smiled Capt. Stahl.
