FC Minneapolis offers free youth soccer lessons
Roseville, Minn. – Professional soccer players with FC Minneapolis are providing free soccer instruction to kids ages 6-12 through the E. Lake St. Salvation Army, for the second year in a row.
Practice is held every Tuesday at Stewart Park in Minneapolis from 5 – 7 p.m., beginning on June 14. There is still room in the program for more players to sign up. Parents are invited to call 612-721-1513 to learn more or register their kids
The collaboration began last year, when Ian Sendi, (Right Wing for FC Minneapolis) reached out to The Salvation Army and volunteered to teach youth soccer.
Sunday, June 19, several of the kids who participate in the soccer program will volunteer as ball assistants during FC Minneapolis’ game, at 7 p.m at Einer Anderson Stadium, 18301 MN Highway 7 in Minnetonka.
