New Salvation Army store opens in St. Paul
Roseville, Minn. – The eighth Salvation Army Family Store in the Twin Cities opens its doors at 1907 Suburban Ave. in St. Paul on Saturday, April 16, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
The 24,000 square foot building features a drive-through donation center, the second of its kind for The Salvation Army in Minnesota (the other is at the Family Store in Fridley).
“This is the direction we are heading,” said Tom Canfield, supervisor for The Salvation Army stores in the Twin Cities. “We want to make it easier for people to donate and provide them with a great shopping experience.”
The new store features energy efficient, LED lighting designed to save money and make it more appealing to shoppers.
Store hours are 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Donations are accepted during store hours and from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Opening Day Doorbusters
Opening day will feature door buster specials on brand new items that The Salvation Army purchases in bulk, while supplies last. Deals will include:

My Pillow Special
MyPillow inventor Mike Lindell will be at the grand opening after donating 2,000 of his signature pillows to the store. They will sell — while supplies last — for the lowest prices he’s ever offered.
“Because of my Christian faith and my struggles with addictions in the past, I feel very connected to The Salvation Army and the people they serve,” Lindell said. “I feel very blessed to be where I am right now in my life, and I am passionate about giving back.”

All proceeds from the sales at Salvation Army Stores go to support the Adult Rehabilitation Center in Minneapolis, which has been offering free and low-cost drug and alcohol rehabilitation for more than 100 years.
