The life and legacy of Agatha Fleming (video)
(Watch video) – Agatha Fleming led a life that demonstrated God’s love for others. Upon her death in 2010, those who knew her closely spoke of her kindness and pure acceptance of others as they reflected on her life.
Agatha is also remembered as one who was frugal herself so that she could be generous to others. Never making more than $15,700 with a $100 bonus in her career as a teacher, she faithfully gave and saved. As a result, she left legacy gifts for both her alma mater to help educate youth, her lifelong passion as a teacher, and The Salvation Army to help the poor. The principal of her gift to the Duluth Salvation Army will be retained so the interest will continue to help those most in need forever.
