These 100 thank you notes belong to you
Oftentimes, people with the least are thankful for the most.
That much is evident in the 100 thank you notes we recently received. They were written by kids and adults served at Salvation Army locations across Minnesota and North Dakota. Grab a tissue and read each letter.
If you support The Salvation Army, know that you’ve helped provide the life-changing services given to each author.
You helped Richard in Duluth, Minn.
“The help over the years has made it possible for me to live with dignity,” Richard wrote. “My life would have been a struggle I could not win.”
You helped Shawna and her kids in Williston, N.D.
“Thank you for making it possible for this single mother to make ends meet when money is tight,” Shawna wrote. “I am forever grateful.”
You helped young Kelvin attend the Salvation Army after-school program in inner-city St. Paul, Minn.
“I love The Salvation Army,” Kelvin wrote. “I love the food. I love the games. I love the fun. I love everything at The Salvation Army. I love it. The end.”
It’s Thanksgiving week. On behalf of The Salvation Army and the people we serve, let these letters serve as a thank you to those of you who give to The Salvation Army, volunteer for us, pray for us, and support us in other ways.
“We are thankful for you,” said Lt. Col. Robert Thomson, Salvation Army Commander of Minnesota and North Dakota. “Your compassion allows The Salvation Army to provide food, shelter, clothing and much more to thousands of people in crisis. May God bless you this Thanksgiving.”
