Toy Shop registration opens
Roseville, Minn. – For more than 50 years, The Twin Cities Salvation Army has provided local families with the opportunity to shop, for free, for Christmas gifts for their children. We have served hundreds of thousands of kids, helping to make the holidays bright for families who may be struggling financially.
“Every child should have a wonderful Christmas,” said Major Jeff Strickler, Twin Cities commander. “This program serves families with dignity and ensures their kids have a blessed holiday.”
The Salvation Army provides Christmas toys for pre-registered parents of children 14 and under, who live in the ten-county metro area. Registration opens today and runs through Dec. 4, or until the program is full. This year, we hope to serve 15,000 children.
You can help purchase new toys for children, by making a financial donation, or by dropping off a new, unwrapped gift at any metro area Salvation Army worship and service center, or the Divisional Headquarters in Roseville. We particularly need gifts appropriate for older children.
