The Weekly Word - A Devotion for the Week of June 27
Most of us have probably asked God for a blessing more times than we can count. Maybe we’ve asked Him to bless us with good health or stable finances. Perhaps we’ve prayed that He will bless us with a new career opportunity or a spouse or children of our own. In this psalm, however, we read something new and unexpected – a reversal of sorts. Psalm 103 reminds us that it is good and right for us to bless God as well. We bless God through our worship, through our gratitude and through our humble care and love of others. As we begin the new week, may we consider how we might bless God with all that is within us. Amen. consider how we might bless God with all that is within us.
