The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program has been helping local low-income families and children ages 0-18 since we began serving Omaha 130 years ago. The holiday toy program relies entirely on the generosity of the community. Last year, the Angel Tree program provided toys for thousands of children in the Omaha metro.
Donors can pick a tag with a child’s age, gender, and suggested gift items from The Salvation Army Angel Tree donation sites. New toys that are purchased can be placed unwrapped in the donation boxes, which can be found throughout the metro Nov. 12 through Dec. 12. More than 100 local businesses including KMTV 3 News Now and Jensen Tire & Auto locations are serving as Angel Tree donation sites this year.
Angel Tree donors provide the necessary resources for The Salvation Army’s Toyland Days, which will be held in December. Low-income families shop for their children during this annual toy distribution event. All toys must be new and unwrapped. Click here for gift ideas.
