Backpack Distribution Weekend

August 11-12, 2023

We are offering different types of backpack distributions based on location. Remember that no matter which location you choose, proof of school enrollment will be required for each child.

Following is a list of our three backpack distribution locations for 2023 — along with additional details:

The Salvation Army North Corps (2424 Pratt St.)
August 11-12 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. or until supplies have been exhausted

  • Walk-up distribution only
  • Please park on side streets near the Corps and enter the distribution via the south-side main doors

The Salvation Army Kroc Center (2825 Y St.)
August 11-12 | 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. or until supplies have been exhausted

  • Walk-up distribution only
  • Enter the Kroc Center campus off of 27th St. (on the east end of the property)

Westroads Mall (10000 California St.)
August 12 | 10 a.m.-1 p.m. or until supplies have been exhausted

  • Drive-thru distribution only
  • Go to the northwest corner of the mall parking lot; use the entrance off of Nicholas St. (on the north side of the mall property)
