Give the Tools to Prepare
a Child for School

The Salvation Army and KETV 7 Can Help Kids team up each year to collect new school supplies.

The Back To School Backpack Program provides thousands of children with backpacks and school supplies at locations across the metro. Since 1998, more than 200,000 children have been provided with the help they need to go back to school with confidence.

This year's premier sponsor is Methodist Health System. Our location sponsors are Fun-Plex and Bucky's. Additional sponsors are the Sweet 98.5, Pay-LESS Office Products, Barnhart Press and Firefighters on the Move.

The following new items are needed: backpacks, crayons, markers, colored pencils, rulers, glue, erasers, spiral notebooks, two-pocket folders, pencils, pens, theme paper, reusable water bottles, tissue, and bottles of hand sanitizer.

You can drop off backpacks and school supplies at any Methodist Health System clinic, at Fun Plex, or at any Bucky’s convenience store in the Omaha metro between July 1 and August 6. Look for either a blue barrel or a brown collection box with a back to school poster to place your items.
