The 2021 D.J.'s Hero Awards Luncheon will honor 15 high school seniors who have overcome adversity and made an impact on their school and community. Each hero receives a $10,000 scholarship named for D.J. Sokol, son of David and Peggy Sokol. D.J. battled cancer until his death at age 18, showing courage in his struggle and a deep concern for others.
This year's featured speaker is Byron Pitts, Emmy Award-winning journalist and co-anchor of ABC News' "Nightline." The event will also feature a special appearance by 2015 World Series Champion Alex Gordon.
