We believe that living for Jesus Christ is the most meaningful way to live. Through Jesus, we've seen marriages reconciled, families strengthened, and lives changed in dramatic ways. The Pekin Salvation Army Church is a safe, no pressure environment to explore what it means to be in a relationship with Christ as well as what it means to do life with people who desire to love others and impact our communities.
If you're just checking us out, use this page to explore some ways to be involved in the community at the Pekin Salvation Army Church, and we invite you to come visit us soon.
Read through our Next Steps below to find out how!
At The Salvation Army, we are committed to coming alongside anyone who wants to move forward in their relationship with God and finding a church you can call home, is a big part of that journey. If you are interested in getting more involved in the life of this church, your first step is to learn more about us.
Prayerful consideration is also part of step one. Making sure this is the church home to which God has called you is important. Take some time to sit, pray, and listen to His leading.

Small Groups are the primary place where you are known and cared for at The Salvation Army Community Church. God made us for community and we need others to help us apply the gospel to our lives. Community is crucial to the life of a healthy church. We love corporate worship, but there is just something uniquely powerful about an intimate gathering around a living room, a small classroom, or a dining room table that forces us to think differently than when we are in a big room for worship. One of the ways this community finds expression at The Salvation Army is through our Small Groups and fellowships. These groups are designed to facilitate a sense of belonging as they meet to discuss different Biblical topics, pray and share life together. Take a look below at how you can belong here at The Salvation Army.
Study scripture together and discuss how we can apply His words to our life in a laid back style in our Pastor's home. Enjoy dinner with your friends and family as we break bread over God's Word. |

Community
Finding community at The Salvation Army is as easy as attending any of our ministry opportunities throughout the week. Assessing your needs is a great way to start. Connecting with our pastors, Captain Megan & Lieutenant Brandon Lewis, is also a great way to begin your journey. Whether you just need someone to talk to, pray for you, or visit with you, they are happy to help.
If you've made it this far, we would love for you to consider taking our Going Deeper class. During these classes you will find out what your spiritual gifts are, and what The Salvation Army believes on a deeper theological level. At the end of the class, you will have the option of becoming an official member our church or "soldier", or you can just have a better understanding of our common faith and continue worshiping with us. This is a can't miss, no pressure opportunity. Contact our pastors for more information!
