Golf Outing Raises More Than $82,000 to Benefit Peoria Area Salvation Army
Eighty-six golfers, thirty-three sponsors, sixteen donors & memorial sponsors all came together to raise $82,100 for The Salvation Army in Peoria. This was the third year for the Birdies for Good Golf Event, held at Mt. Hawley Country Club, that raises funds to help those people in the community facing food insecurities, homelessness, or are at risk of homelessness.
“We are humbled by the continued support of the local community for those people less fortunate. The need is even greater this year given the issues many are facing due to the Covid pandemic.” He continued, “Every dollar really makes a difference.
