37th Annual Coats for Kids Program Underway
Peoria, IL - The Salvation Army, OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, and WEEK TV are sponsoring the 37th annual Coats for Kids program to make sure that every child in our community has a winter coat this season. New and gently used coats in children’s and young adult sizes are being collected now through December 9th. Over the past 36 years, 50,973 coats have been collected, cleaned and given out to area children and adults in need.
Coat distribution will take place at The Salvation Army’s Corps & Community Center at 2903 W. Nebraska Avenue in Peoria during Christmas Sign-Ups. Sign-ups will take place November 15th and 16th from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. and November 17th from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at The Salvation Army’s Corps & Community Center.
Coats can be dropped off at over 50 locations in the Tri-County area, including various OSF HealthCare medical offices and Outpatient Centers, and all area Jim Maloof Realty locations.
