Our Army of Volunteers

Apr 19, 2021

The Salvation Army’s Peoria Advisory Board consists of 41 incredible volunteers who devote their time, skills, and resources to assist in furthering the mission of The Salvation Army in Peoria.

Our board members are great ambassadors as they help to share and promote the programs and services we offer to those in need throughout the Peoria community. They are hands-on volunteers that serve year-round. Whether it be offering support and guidance in monthly meetings, providing meals for the individuals in our homeless shelter, or ringing bells during the Christmas Season, our board members continue to selflessly serve in the name of Christ; and for that, we are beyond grateful!

Peoria Advisory Board Members Lynn Kunkle (chair of Birdies for Good Committee), Bill Yarbrough (presenting sponsor for Birdies for Good), Tim Braker and Craig Young participate in the Birdies for Good fundraiser for the Peoria Salvation Army.

Peoria Advisory Board member Charlie Drier and his family help serve meals during the Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Sylvia Fites Men’s Shelter.
