Pandemic Partnership Appreciation: Pizza Hut

Aug 10, 2020

“You cannot warm the hearts of people with God's love if they have an empty stomach"

- William Booth (Founder of The Salvation Army)

The Salvation Army has long understood the importance one meal can have. The first bit of relief someone can experience after facing dark times is often a simple meal which can restore their hope. This can never be overstated & it is why we are giving recognition and a special thanks to Peoria's local Pizza Hut for donating pizzas to the individuals in our Men’s Shelter!

It is a simple gesture to many but to the men we serve in the Sylvia Fites Center this meal donation was a way to reconnect with their humanity and be reminded that they are cared for. Thank you Pizza Hut for taking on The Salvation Army's mission and joining us in the Fight For Good!

To learn how you can make a donation to our food pantry please contact Kathy Anderson at 309-339-3849

Or learn how you can make a meal donation & how you can sponsor a meal for our Dinner with Love program, please contact Bailee Bauman at 309-253-9909
