The Salvation Army Quad Cities Exceeds Christmas Campaign Goal
The results of the Quad Cities Salvation Army 2023 Red Kettle Campaign are officially in.
A total of $750,064 was received through the January 31 cutoff, surpassing the 2022 campaign by 7.2% and just nudging past the $750,000 goal.
“The Salvation Army of the QCA made a call for help to make a difference, and our community answered generously at the red kettle,” said Major Robert Doliber, Quad Cities Area Coordinator. “Volunteers rallied, and partners such as Hy-Vee (where 49% of all red kettle donations were collected), Von Maur (whose $20,000 match grant on the last three days before Christmas motivated donors to increase giving by 300% versus last year), and Ascentra Credit Union (whose Ride-50 promotion netted $24,300) propelled us over the top of the goal to meet the ever-increasing needs for our services.”
Donations will continue to support The Salvation Army’s year-round programs and services across the area, such as shelter nights for families, Rapid Rehousing, food boxes, seasonal services, disaster services, and emergency one-time assistance for individuals and families.
