Mental Health Awareness Month

May 3, 2023

May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the United States—a time to raise awareness of and reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health issues.
At The Salvation Army of Omaha, we have the capacity to serve hundreds of individuals monthly across our seven behavioral health programs.

Altogether, those programs help more than 2,000 people in the metro area each year.

And those programs are seeing lots of success stories: according to the latest data, eighty-five percent of total clients across the seven programs reported a reduction in symptoms.

Our behavioral health program locations are concentrated in midtown Omaha and are open to anyone in need.

As we join in the observation of Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to remind the community that our behavioral health programs are here for the greater good—and we’re grateful to be of service to the Omaha metro.
