When you struggle to survive day by day, Holidays can be non-existent. Help us give our neighbors some hope this Christmas. Together we can change families, lives and our community!
The Salvation Army goes above and beyond at the Holiday season. Along with our regular food pantry, homeless outreach, and other social ministries, we strive to bring extra hope during the holidays.
Christmas Toy Shop- We collect toys from generous donors starting early December. The program gives parents who otherwise wouldn't be able to provide their children with gifts the opportunity to "shop" for their children. This process brings dignity to the parent, truly being able to select the gift they will give their child on Christmas morning. Not only does this give the child a gift to remember, but it also helps build honor and dignity in the family and gives a brief reprieve from the pain of poverty to add magic and memories to the Holiday season.
Holiday Meal Box- Impoverished families are eligible to receive a special food box for their holiday meal. This is in addition to any regular assistance they might receive through our Social Ministries program.
Rest Home visitation- Volunteers in November schedule a visit to area nursing homes to bring hope, fellowship and a small gift to residents in an effort to make the holidays brighter for the residents.
