Programs & Services

Social Services – Walk-ins or appointments are welcome for all social service assistance. Services include food pantry (Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 9-Noon and 1-4), rent and utility assistance, prescriptions, eye exams and glasses (limited) and clothing vouchers (referrals only).

Required documentation: Bring photo ID for head of household, social security cards for everyone in the household, and proof of residency (address on a current bill or lease).

Community Meal Program – Basic human needs are met through a nutritious, hot meal every Monday-Friday from Noon to 1:00 PM and 4:00 - 5:30 PM. Meals are FREE and community resource information is available for other services provided in the city of Topeka.

Disaster Relief – Salvation Army staff and volunteers are often the first on the scene and the last to leave. Whether it’s a devastating house fire, life shattering tornado, gas explosion or months of intense flooding, we offer drinks, food, a warm blanket, shelter, assistance with clean-up, tracking down loved ones, finding additional help and sometimes just offering a comforting presence when its needed most.
