Fall Program and Services Schedule

As we enter the fall season and prepare for the changing weather our programs and services schedule is also changing effective October 1, 2021.   

PROGRAMS AND SERVICES SCHEDULE EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2021

COMMUNITY CENTER
OFFICE HOURS: 
Monday - Friday, 9-4. To connect with us please call 231.946.4644 or stop by the office. 

FOOD PANTRY - MONDAY & THURSDAY
Food pantry assistance is now available to walk-in assistance on Monday and Thursday from 9:30 - 11:30 am and 1-3 pm. Registration is required.

COMMUNITY MEAL - MONDAY & WEDNESDAY: To-go Community Meal lunches are serviced Monday and Wednesday from 12 - 1 pm at the Emergency Disaster Truck in the parking lot at The Salvation Army Community Center, 1239 Barlow St. Traverse City.

COMMUNITY FOOD SHELF: The Community Food Shelf distributes fresh perishable food and other food items Monday and Wednesday from noon - 1 pm in the Community Center at 1239 Barlow St., Traverse City. Masks are recommended. The number of people allowed in the building may be limited for the health and safety of guests. 

EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Phone appointments for utility and emergency financial assistance are scheduled by our case management team. Please call 231-946-4644 during Community Center office hours - Monday - Friday 9-4.

THE SALVATION ARMY THRIFT STORE: RETAIL STORE is open Monday - Saturday 9-5. DONATION DROP OFF is open Monday - Saturday 9-3 (Please call ahead for questions or large donation drop-offs). We look forward to seeing you!

SA GROUP LIFE - FAMILY NIGHT: Please join us Tuesdays for Family Night. Fall sessions run September 14 - October 19. 

Nightly Schedule:
4:00 - 5:00 PM: THE ARTS: Brass, Ukulele, Guitar and Fine Arts
4:30 - 5:30 PM: DINNER
5:50 -7:O0 PM SMALL GROUPS 

SMALL GROUP BREAKOUTS:
SA NURSERY, Ages 0 - 4 - A safe place for you to drop your kids off so you can attend your small group. We will read books, do crafts and learn about Jesus!      

SA KIDS, 5 - 12 years - An activity-based program that builds character and creates a safe and fun environment for kids to be creative.

BIBLE STUDY - This group will be going through Andy Stanley's "Christian: It's not what you think". They will be exploring the rebranding of         Christianity.

REVIVE for Single Moms (This course will run through Fall and Winter Sessions) Single Mom Ministry’s reVIVE Course was created to provide a thirteen-week small group experience for single moms looking to live courageously and rediscover their greatness. To register or for more information: www.revivecourse.org/register

WOODWORKING  This group is designed to give amateurs, professionals, and anyone in between, the opportunity to build basic and complex things.

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES: Breakfast Club 9:15-9:45, Sunday School 9:45-10:45, Sunday Worship 11:am. We look forward to seeing you.
