WHAT IS TURNING POINT?
A "turning point" is defined as a moment in which a critical decision must be made.
This is the crossroads many of our clients reach when they contact Turning Point Programs (TPP).
The program began in 1973 as a refuge for West Michigan residents desiring to overcome active addictions.
"The Salvation Army Turning Point Program was there for me when I decided to get help for my addiction issues in 2007... Their door was always open for me. When I returned broken and beaten, I was never shunned. I was never judged. I was never made to feel unworthy. I was celebrated and told, "never quit quitting." ... I am so grateful that Turning Point never shut their doors on me. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today."
Our first priority is to provide a warm, welcoming environment that promotes safety and healing. Our goal is to empower people to overcome addictions and reconnect with life.
Turning Point Programs employs a Board Certified physician specializing in addiction medicine, Master prepared therapists, Licensed nurses. All staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about helping those with addictions.
