Birthday Kits Bring Joy Through Hardship
Help those in need celebrate birthdays with their children or loved ones by making kits to donate – complete with cake mix, candles and other essentials. Deliver them to us and each will go to a household we serve to ensure no birthday passes without the means to celebrate.
Run out of time to make kits this year? You can donate to our food shelves instead to ensure stomachs are filled every day of the year.
Each Kit Should Include:
- Boxed cake mix
- Frosting
- Sprinkles or toppings
- Candles
- Small container of vegetable oil
- Bag or box for packaging
- Optional Items: $5 grocery gift card for eggs, Party supplies (balloons, streamers, stickers, etc.)
Directions
- Purchase all ingredients to make the kits.
- Pack all supplies into an individual bag or box. Print a note of enouragement below to include.
- Add a personal touch by decorating the kits as desired.
- Find a Salvation Army food shelf and drop off your kits.
- Know that your actions will have big impact on someone's birthday!
