On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Bank of America employees volunteered at The Salvation Army Warren Corps Community Center supporting its ‘Bountiful Boxes’ program for the 12th consecutive year. Bountiful Boxes is an annual holiday meal program that provides 6000 food boxes for individuals and families in need across Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties.
“Healthy, nourishing meals are a cornerstone of a joyful holiday season,” said Teresa Debastiani, senior vice president, Bank of America and chair, The Salvation Army Metro Detroit Advisory Board.
“The ‘Bountiful Boxes’ program showcases the power of partnership in delivering meaningful support to families across southeast Michigan. Participating in this program is one of the highlights of the season for our teammates and is another meaningful opportunity to give back and make a real difference in our community.”
The ‘Bountiful Boxes’ program is made possible with the support of a $75,000 grant from Bank of America. Each box is packed with ingredients for wholesome holiday meals, offering a variety of traditional, Southern, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern food options to meet the various needs of the community.

Since its launch in 2013, this initiative has provided tens of thousands of meals to metro Detroiters. In 2023, The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit served more than 2.5 million meals to individuals and families in need.
The boxes packed will be distributed at Salvation Army locations across Metro Detroit to make spirits bright this holiday season. We are grateful for our generous partner Bank of America and its hardworking volunteers.
