Donate school supplies July 26–Aug. 6 at Hy-Vee, Blue Cross locations
It’s time to welcome students back to the classroom. You can help by supporting The Salvation Army’s back-to-school drive, in partnership with the Mike Zimmer Foundation.
Your donations of new backpacks, notebooks, crayons, rulers, and other supplies will allow students to begin the school year with all they need to be successful.
“The pandemic has taken a toll on local families, many of whom are still struggling emotionally and financially,” said Lt. Col. Dan Jennings, leader of The Salvation Army Northern Division. “Donated school supplies will ease their financial burden and energize students as they return to in-person learning.”
Donations of new school supplies are being accepted now through Friday, Aug. 6 at Twin Cities metro area Hy-Vee locations and these Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota offices:
- Yorkdale Shoppes, 6807 York Ave. S., Ste. C, Edina
- Crossroads of Roseville, 1647, County Road B2 West, Roseville
You can also help by donating money. A gift of just $25 is enough for The Salvation Army to buy a child a new backpack. Give now.
The Salvation Army will distribute donated school supplies to hundreds of families in need at our seven local operation centers.
“Thank you to our donors and Vikings coach Mike Zimmer for supporting this important drive,” Jennings said.
